While seeking for investments startups very often face many unknowns. They actually don’t know a lot about investors and their behaviour: what are investors looking for in a startup and founders, how do they evaluate idea or company, what do they think about business plans and startup pitches.

Fortunately, many of the investors, angels and VCs share their thoughts and vision on their blogs. It is a good way to learn more about investors, understand them and get valuable insight and advices.

Here’s a list of some investors blogs I would recommend you to follow:

Andrew Chen (Andrew Chen)

Eric Ries of The Lean Startup has called Andrew Chen’s blog “one of the best entrepreneurship blogs of all time.” And, there’s a good reason why; it includes back-to-back essays on mobile, high-growth startups and technology.

Christoph Janz is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Point Nine Capital. Prior to that, he was an active angel investor and co-founded internet startup DealPilot.com, one of the first comparison shopping engines. David G. Cohen (David Cohen)

David Cohen is the founder and Managing Partner of Techstars. His blog skips any academic theory about building a company and instead provides actionable advice for dealing with the day-to-day of growing a startup.

Jeffrey Finkle (Jeffrey Finkle)

Jeffrey Finkle is an angel investor and a startup coach. He serves as Chairman of the evaluation committee of the ARC Angel Fund and general partner of 4Scale ventures. He gives out a lot of in-depth advice on investing, startups, and life. This site also includes audio material through podcasts.

Mark Suster (Mark Suster)

Los Angeles-based Mark Suster is both an entrepreneur and investor. He’s a Partner at venture capital firm GRP Partners, and as an entrepreneur he founded BuildOnline and Koral, which were both acquired. He’s invested in companies such as Affordit, EagleCrest Energy and EcoMom.
